Celebrated a little differently from previous years, the fifth edition of the International Performance Marketing Awards took place with a virtual ceremony - bringing together the industry’s key partners from around the globe from the comfort of their own homes.
The more relaxed settings and loungewear attire made the event no less exhilarating, with everyone tuned in nervously anticipating who would be awarded across 27 competitive categories.
Kicking off the ceremony dressed to the nines (at least on the top half), International Performance Marketing Awards and PerformanceIN founder Matthew Wood aptly summarized 2020 and the affiliate channel’s part in it, stating: “This year more than ever, the collaboration between the industry really shone through. COVID has not only affected the events industry but that of retail too, accelerating their digital and e-commerce transformation strategies……..we are lucky enough to be working in an industry that continues to both embrace and match that evolution – evolving and solving challenges for a wide range of partners. As an industry, we have an uncanny ability to develop technology and add value to our partners influencing and converting consumers at critical points within the shopping journey. And that’s something I believe will only accelerate over the coming months and years.”
It was clear from the shortlisted campaigns the level of innovation and sophistication in the performance marketing world continues to rise at a rapid pace. With this in mind, we’re thrilled to have won four awards with our partners, as well as receive six highly-commended entries. Our four wins are:
- Best Performance Marketing Campaign, Western Europe: RevLifter and Awin and Mobiles.co.uk - A Sustainable Cyber Week
“Very well laid out case with a good idea to upsell and existing basket, combining the clear concept and target, as well as the detailed execution.” - Best Content Marketing Campaign: Awin for Nike - Sneakerheads and Stories
“An exceptional piece of storytelling to run alongside a successful campaign.” - Best Influencer Marketing Campaign: Awin for Etsy
“Sometimes simple marketing strategies are the best, and this is one of them.” - Best Partnership: Awin for tastecard - In-In is the New Out-Out
“A very clever reaction to the change in customer behavior. With COVID potentially shutting their business the results are outstanding.”
What’s more, we were especially excited to be voted both Best Affiliate Network and Best Team in Performance Marketing.
“It’s inspiring to see an established network renew themselves and show concern for the industry, advertisers and affiliates in the typical win-win spirit of affiliate marketing.”
While being awarded for the judged categories is an incredible recognition of our work, it fills us with immense pride to be voted for both of these awards by our partners. We would like to extend a huge thank you from each and every one of us at Awin, it is a true honor.
Adam Ross, COO at Awin, comments: “I’m proud and honored to pick up our first ever Best International Affiliate Network award. We've spent many years bringing together the many parts, platforms and regions of Awin, so it feels particularly special to receive this accolade and get outside recognition for all that effort. We were also delighted to pick up four other awards rewarding the hard work and flourishing collaborations with our partners. The Access team in particular, who launched a new product into Europe at the perfect moment and have spent a large part of this year helping small businesses navigate the challenges of COVID, are especially deserving of their ‘Best Team in Performance Marketing’ award. Overall we are filled with pride and I would like to thank everyone at Awin for their tireless efforts in a challenging year and all our partners for their continued support.”
