Updates to Awin publisher terms

Written by Samantha Sherer on

As the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is coming into effect  May 25,  we have updated our publisher terms to ensure our network is compliant.

You can read the updated terms here.

The main update is outlining our joint controller status regarding data processing with publishers. Awin is a joint controller with publishers because Awin has decided the economic model, and both Awin and publishers decide what data to process to deliver the advertiser’s affiliate marketing campaign. Learn more about data processing under the GDPR here.

While refining the publisher terms to become GDPR compliant, we have taken the opportunity to add additional updates, including making publisher responsibilities clearer in section 3.8.

As a publisher, by continuing to use the Awin platform, you agree to the updated terms.

If you have any questions, please contact your account representative or get in touch with our publisher management team.
