French creator yt_Guillaume has channelled his self-confessed tech addiction into passing his vast knowledge of PC hardware onto a huge audience on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. An adept presenter, Guillaume’s output primarily consists of reviews on individual components and ways of combining them to create a setup on various budgets. He’s a respected voice in the French tech community and regularly turns questions from followers into recommendations, for example, by assessing the best graphics cards under a specific price point.
Tom Honeyands, aka The Tech Chap, runs one of the UK’s biggest YouTube channels for tech discovery. Whether it’s a laptop, a smartphone, or even a TV, if it’s trending in the tech circles, you’ll probably find a sleekly edited review or an unboxing by Tom himself. The content is consistently positive, operating more as a showcase of the coolest and shiniest new products than scrutinous reviews. Yet, these demonstrations of tech’s shiny side are just the ticket for an audience of nearly 1.5 million subscribers.
Now for something a little different. If in-depth technical reviews represent one side of the tech and telecoms influencer mix, Germany’s Reneschmock has his feet very much cemented on the other. The channel should be celebrated for focusing as much on the latest from Samsung as it does on lesser-known brands like OnePlus, Honor, Poco, and Xiaomi, creating a draw for European buyers wanting to assess options from across the globe. There are also plenty of posts covering the very best accessories to pair with all devices.
Germany’s HardwareDealz is dedicated to finding the best price-to-performance ratio from the latest hardware. Its content is geared towards a cost-conscious audience looking for a new PC or laptop that can deliver value for money. On Instagram, X, Twitch, and YouTube, the channel showcases leading options for gaming laptops and notebooks, as well as individual components for those who’d rather build it themselves. Smartly, the channel also provides a regular update on deals and frequently plugs individual offers during YouTube posts.
As well as being a go-to destination for smartphone reviews, MonsieurGrr’s channels offer a glimpse at the weird and wonderful accessories to an abnormally digital life, including robot vacuums, home security systems, and augmented reality glasses. He’s become a prolific poster on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, and presents everything in his native French.
It can’t be easy to emulate the work of an entire price comparison site with sub-30-minute clips on YouTube. Kudos, then, to US-based Joshua Van Aalst, aka Just Josh, whose pound-for-pound PC reviews include subjects like ‘The Best 14-inch Laptop - We Tested Them All’, and ‘We Spent $100k on Laptops: These are the Best Ones’. Shorter clips are saved for reviews of individual devices and components, which should pique the interest of advertisers looking to position themselves where tech buyers narrow their choices.
Italian creator SaddyTech’s YouTube channel is far more than the sum of its parts, representing more of a virtual magazine with its analysis of issues and stories impacting gamers and PC enthusiasts. You’re never far from genuine insight and thought-provoking opinion, with recent topics including security vulnerabilities on Intel processors, the genuine impact of AI applications launched by Microsoft, and key learnings from the latest industry events. It’s a perfect hub of information for those wanting to dive into the finer details of their interest.
