The team rode from Greenwich in London to Newhaven in Sussex where they caught the overnight ferry to Dieppe in France and furiously pedalled to Paris the next morning to make the 24 hour target.
In order to support the great work that Mind do for mental health awareness, education and treatment, some of our wonderful partners (below) each sponsored an Awin rider, helping the team to raise over and above their target at £12.5k - almost £70 for every mile they cycled.
Thank you to Acceleration Partners, who hosted the event, and all 50 riders who took part from across the affiliate marketing industry. You can find the full round-up of the ride on PerformanceIN. The team raised over £12,000 for the British Heart Foundation, bringing the total raised across the two charities to over £24,000.
Katie Baker, Recruitment Manager at Awin, said: “100% the most challenging thing I have ever done (mentally and physically) however by far the best thing I’ve ever done. Other than feeling like I was going to keel over after not sleeping I spent most of the ride with a huge smile across my face. Cycling into Paris was by far the most emotional part, realising how much we had raised for Mind was the most amazing feeling.”
A huge thank you to our partners who each sponsored a rider
